Doug Bearmar has been breeding, training, and packing with llamas since 2010. At Black Mountain Pack Llamas, his mission is to provide safe, memorable, and educational llama experiences for hikers, hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone interested in these remarkable animals.

After discovering how pack llamas made backcountry adventures more accessible, Doug immersed himself in learning every aspect of llama packing. He trained with industry experts, built a strong foundation in breeding and packing, and has spent years developing a herd of dependable pack llamas.

Today, Doug offers llama rentals, sales, educational clinics, and farm visits while sharing his extensive knowledge with both new llama owners and experienced outdoor adventurers.

Beyond his business, Doug volunteers by helping train guides for multi-day llama packing expeditions and enjoys introducing people of all ages to the unique experience of hiking with llamas.
